First Resort is a privately funded, non-profit Public Benefit Organization. As a result of volunteerism and financial donations, we are able to provide quality care to our clients at no charge. Most of our medical professionals volunteer their time. Many of our counselors are volunteers as well.
Individuals throughout the Bay Area and beyond make tax-deductible donations to First Resort because they want women experiencing unintended pregnancies to have the information and care they need to make an informed and well-thought-through decision regarding their unplanned pregnancies. Many companies match their employees' donations; some double-match. We are fortunate to have foundations throughout the Bay Area and the country who financially support our work as well.
